A banana peanut butter protein shake has just the right amount of protein for a nice snack or post workout drink! This delicious shake is low in fat, yet contains healthy carbs for the perfect balance in your diet!
What’s In A Banana Peanut Butter Protein Shake?
There are several delicious ingredients in this shake recipe.
The most important thing is the protein!
Having enough protein in every meal and snack is pretty important.
Here is a list of ingredients you will find in this shake.
- unsweetened cashew milk or almond milk
- banana
- cauliflower
- THM peanut flour
- collagen powder
- sweetener
- salt

What Makes This Banana Peanut Butter Protein Shake Creamy?
Promise you won’t leave this page when you hear what ingredient helps with the creaminess.
There is just a smidgen of frozen cauliflower in this protein shake.
I understand if you feel disgusted by that news.
I have to tell you, though, that my husband despises cauliflower and he drank the entire shake…(I literally forgot to tell him before he gulped it down)!
Cauliflower is not the only ingredient that gives a creamy texture.
One half of a banana does wonders to make a protein shake a bit creamier!
Please don’t go into this recipe expecting a thick, ice cream texture…it is not that creamy! It’s not super thin either…just perfect.

Wouldn’t Peanut Butter Make This A Crossover?
Yes, peanut butter would definitely cause this shake to become a crossover for the Trim Healthy Mama.
However, there is an ingredient called Pressed Peanut Flour made by Trim Healthy Mama.
It only contains 2.5 grams of fat for 1/4 cup…and 10 grams of protein! Pretty amazing if you ask me!
There are other peanut flour brands on the market, so if you’re already placing an order on Amazon, feel free to buy another brand, such as this Protein Plus peanut flour.
You are most welcome to use a tablespoon of natural peanut butter as well…just note that your protein shake will become a Crossover!

Post Workout Protein Shake
Maybe some of you are wondering what you should eat after a workout, or if you should eat at all.
The simple answer is this: eating protein after a workout is a must for speedy muscle recovery, particularly after weight training.
Eating something after a workout will help replenish your energy levels. Drinking water will keep you from getting dehydrated from sweating.
It is recommended that your post workout snack should be healthy carbs mixed with protein.
With around 20 grams of protein and a dose of healthy carbs, this banana peanut butter protein shake is a perfect example, but there are many post workout snack options to choose from!
If you are doing a 20 minute workout, for example, the Trim Healthy Mama Workins dvds (which I highly recommend), then you can choose to eat something a bit lighter.
This Bummy Builder shake is also a nice Trim Healthy Mama protein treat for after your workout!

Other Shakes and Treats
You’re reading this and thinking “I don’t like bananas or peanut butter, especially if they’re mixed.”
Never fear, this Brownie Batter smoothie will save your day with its delicious, nutritious flavors and benefits.
For a fruity twist, you could also try a Strawberry Orange Julius…just add collagen or protein powder.
Another great treat for an afternoon pick-me-up or a post-workout snack are the Almond Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Balls.
