~these everything cheese fat bombs are a savory snack or appetizer that are full of flavor and good fats…so satisfying~
What In The World Is A Fat Bomb?
I’m so glad you asked! When using the term “fat bomb” in the health-world, most generally people think of a snack that is full of good healthy fats! And they’re correct.
These good fats can come from a variety of sources such as: butter, coconut oil, cream, nuts and seeds. Let’s talk about why our bodies need healthy fats.
Why Do We Need Healthy Fats?
Our nation goes through health phases every few years it seems. When I was a teenager low fat was the diet to be on. Then it went to high fats, no carbs. Now there’s such a variety of diets or lifestyles to choose from. Whatever works for you to be healthy, that’s all that really matters.
But I Repeat…Why Do Our Bodies NEED These Healthy Fats?
- Our brains need good fats to keep it functioning
- Believe it or not, eating good fats will aid in weight loss
- Keeps you satiated since it digests slower than carbs
- Gives you healthy hair and skin
Eating Fat Will Help Me Lose Weight
Our bodies need three macronutrients for energy…carbs, protein and fat. (If you’re a Trim Healthy Mama, you can see the connection here ) You see, when we eat good healthy fats, leaving out sugar and bad carbs, our bodies use fat as a source of energy.
As mentioned above, healthy fats will keep our bodies satiated. This just means that fats digest slower than carbs and will keep us full for longer; therefore, we eat less!
Let’s Get To The Everything Cheese Fat Bombs Recipe
Now that we’ve discovered why we need healthy fats, allow me to share my delicious everything cheese fat bombs recipe with you!!
Everything But The Bagel
If you haven’t had the chance to indulge in this yummy seasoning, you may just have to try it! I bet you’ll love it. It’s delicious, particularly on bagels with cream cheese! There are many low carb bagel recipes on the web. Here’s just one of those recipes that my mom actually made a few days ago.
I love Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel seasoning, but I’m pretty sure you can buy something similar at most Walmarts.
(Sprinkling everything but the bagel seasoning on scrambled eggs is another great option)
What I made reminds me of a miniature cheese ball. They are so savory and cheesy! Fat Bomb is definitely a fitting word for this recipe. They are full of good healthy fats…and when rolled in the Everything seasoning…WOW!!! That just takes the flavors up another notch.
Maybe you’re not into savory cheese balls. Here is a delicious Sweet Cheese Ball that is super great for parties, family gatherings or just to eat all by yourself.
I hope you will make these as soon as you can. I have several in my fridge as I’m writing this! Who knows if they’ll be there by the time you get this recipe…ha!
