When it comes to Fall flavors, my maple pumpkin scones with maple cream cheese frosting can’t be beat!
The sights, sounds, smells and sense of Fall are just around the corner and I’m so excited!
Fall is my favorite time of the year…it brings back good memories of my childhood.
Sitting around camp fires, telling stories, listening to the crickets chirping outside and lots of yummy food!
I’ve been traveling alot this year with our men’s quartet.
We’ve been to many different places and seen so many beautiful sights, including Pike’s Peak in Colorado.
And to think that my Heavenly Father created it all for me to enjoy.
It amazes me everytime I see the beauty of America.
We left on June 10th and returned home August 15th. If I calculated everything correctly, I was only at my house for 9 days in between those dates.
My family loves what we do and I get excited every year to travel again.
Well, that being said, I haven’t had much spare time to do any cooking/baking this summer.
Upon returning home I was trying to get my house back into somewhat decent shape before college started again.
My boy’s school was to start shortly after as well.
It’s taken a bit to get back into my blog, but here I am…ha! I have a recipe for you today that I think you’ll really like!
I told my husband that it’s been so long since I’ve just made something from scratch for my blog.
I was nervous it was going to be a huge flop!
My blogger friends will know what I mean when I say I added a bit of this and a dash of that, all the while scribbling/erasing notes on my paper to make sure everything is just right.
Fall Inspired Recipe
I won’t keep you any longer…go ahead and make this Fall-inspired recipe and let me know what you think!
I will let you know that I have 3 boys 11 years old and under.
tThey all gave me a thumbs up (even my non-pumpkin eater).
My husband was greatly impressed as well. I couldn’t be more thrilled!
Pumpkin & Maple Go Hand In Hand
The flavors of pumpkin and maple together just seems so perfect.
The scones themselves are not extremely sweet, but when you add the maple frosting…oh wow!!
Talk about taking this scone to a whole new level of yummy!!
Not Your Average Scone?
I call them scones, but they are actually not your average cake-like, fluffy scones.
They are thinner and almost have a dense pumpkin pie texture.
No matter, you can call them what you want! I call them delicious!!
