What Is A Sausage Pepper Popper

You may be thinking that a pepper popper uses jalapenos for the pepper.

Well, you’re right, they normally do…but honestly, you can use any pepper you desire.

Sweet peppers add a nice sweetness without alot of spice to this recipe.

With a sausage and cream cheese filling that melts so nicely in the oven, you just can’t go wrong eating this snack!

Can I Use Something Besides Sausage?

Absolutely! You can literally choose whatever meat you have available, chop it up and mix it in.

Sausage tastes amazing in this recipe, but you could use bacon, ham, ground beef, ground turkey, chicken and more!

You could also choose to not use any meat.

Reheating The Poppers

If you have any leftovers (and that’s a big IF), you can definitely reheat them in the oven or microwave.

Microwaving a couple poppers on a plate for about 30 seconds will give them that warm cheesy texture again.

Of course this appetizer is best when served fresh from the oven the first time around, but they are still superb when reheated!
