Snicker candies are very similar to a popular candy bar you would find at the grocery store!  They taste phenomenal and are a perfect little treat to keep in the fridge.  With sweet chocolate and caramel flavors, it’s hard to believe these candies are sugar free and low carb!!  

Snicker Candies Came By Accident

This snicker candies recipe sorta came about by accident (it was a good accident).

Have you ever tried to cook something and it just didn’t turn out?

I see that hand…oh and that one over there, yes I see you too.

Well, that’s what happened when I was trying to make something else…but lo and behold, a new recipe creation came to be!

If you like the flavors of a Snickers candy bar, I believe you will enjoy this recipe.

These miniature snicker cups are sweet and satisfying; however, one may be enough to settle that sweet tooth!

What Chocolate Should I Use For Snicker Candies?

I chose to use Lily’s chocolate chips for the chocolate topping.

If you don’t have those, you can use 85% dark chocolate or make skinny chocolate if desired.

I just tasted the THM butterfly bars for the first time after their Cyber Monday sale…needless to say, I was very impressed with the flavor.

My boys really like them too and my middle son said they sorta remind him of Lily’s chocolate.  Thankfully I have a few more butterfly bars to savor as a treat every now and then.

How Many Candies Will This Recipe Make?

This recipe makes about 6-8 mini muffin cup size treats.

If you wish to double or triple the recipe, feel free!  You don’t have to make them in muffin cups.

You could easily pour the caramel mixture in a small square dish then top it with the chocolate.

Any way you do it, the flavors are going to be delightful.

A mini version of a familiar candy bar...only this recipe is guilt-free and low carb!

  1. Combine all caramel ingredients in saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Once everything has melted together, stir for a few minutes until it is slightly thicker and caramel color. (it will bubble quite a bit as it cooks...just keep stirring often till it reaches the caramel color you like).
  3. Take off heat and add peanuts.
  4. Pour into mini muffin tins or molds.
  5. Let chill for a few minutes in freezer.
  6. Melt chocolate with butter and pour evenly over all the candies.
  7. Store in airtight container in fridge.
