Honestly, calling a creamy, fruity dish a salad seems so wrong, but it’s been that way for years, so I’m not going to change it now!

Is This Strawberry Fluff Low Carb?

Cream cheese and heavy whipping cream are both a source of good fats. They are on the heavier side, so if you are watching your weight, it is wise to not overindulge.

Because of the good fats in this dessert, it is considered low carb.

If you follow the Trim Healthy Mama lifestyle, you would separate your fats from your carbs.

Having 10 net carbs or less is perfect for an S recipe…and you can have 5 fat grams or less in an E recipe.

Will The Cream In This Cheesecake Break Down After A While?

The best way to make sure this dessert doesn’t get watered down or broken down is to make it as fresh as possible.

If you are taking it to a potluck or party, make it a few hours ahead of time, but don’t add the berries until you’re ready to eat it.

Can I Use Frozen Strawberries?

Fresh berries are best, but even fresh berries will start to water down the cream part after a day or so.

So frozen berries would water this dessert down far faster than fresh. Still super delicious, but a little less “fluffy”.

How Should I Store This Cheesecake Fluff?

An airtight container is the perfect storage for this treat! Refrigerate it and eat leftovers within several days.

As was already mentioned, the cheesecake part will start to break down after a couple days in the fridge. It could be compared to a yogurt consistency.

No need to throw it away though. It is still perfectly fine to eat!

Can I Use Other Fruit Besides Strawberries?

Absolutely! You can use a variety of fruit for this dish.

Just remember that if you want to keep this a low carb dessert, you probably should not use higher carb fruit, such as peaches, apples, banana, etc.

Otherwise, this dessert would turn into a Crossover for those Trim Healthy Mama’s out there! Not a bad thing, but not conducive to weight loss when consumed too often.

You can use a variety of fresh berries, but be careful of how many blueberries you use since they are a higher carb berry.

Perfect Strawberry Summer Dessert

This dessert can literally be eaten any time of the year, but summer time calls for cold, refreshing foods that can be taken to a picnic or family outing!

  1. In large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sweetener , Greek yogurt and flavored extracts.
  2. In separate bowl, beat heavy cream until it forms stiff peaks.
  3. Add cream to cream cheese mixture and fold gently until it is incorporated.
  4. For best results, chill this mixture in fridge for at least 4 hours.
  5. Add strawberries, giving a gentle stir right before serving.
