These tuxedo cookies are absolutely soft and delicious! Because they are sugar free and low carb, you can eat them without feeling the least bit guilty…(and you won’t get a sugar high either).
Cookies are always a great choice for family dessert, company and holiday gatherings!
They’re an easy dessert to grab and go.
Now you’re probably wondering why these cookies are called tuxedo!
Why Do We Call Them Tuxedo Cookies?
Simply put, they are called “tuxedo” because they are black and white!
A tuxedo is most commonly known as a fancy black and white attire…worn to formal events.
There are many recipes that have the title tuxedo in them because they are just plain black and white!
A Few Main Ingredients In Tuxedo Cookies
I would like to mention a few key ingredients to make the best possible cookies ever!
Black Cocoa Powder
This is a pretty important ingredient in this recipe.
I believe black cocoa is what makes these Tuxedo cookies so good.
It makes them taste much like an oreo cookie.
You can order black cocoa online.
I bought mine through King Arthur and its very impressive!
You could definitely use regular cocoa powder if that’s what you have on hand, but I highly recommend getting some black cocoa!
Trim Healthy Mama Baking Blend
Another ingredient in these cookies is the Trim Healthy Mama baking blend.
If you’ve never heard of it, it’s simply a mixture of gluten-free flours and powders to make your baked goods taste delicious.
For those who have no clue what Trim Healthy Mama is, it is a plan and lifestyle that was started several years ago by two sisters, Pearl and Serene.
Many families are living this healthy life and eating delicious, no-guilt food because of this plan.
From ice cream to cookies and cakes, the Trim Healthy Mama plan has a recipe for probably any food you can imagine!
Trim Healthy Mama Gentle Sweet
If you haven’t tried this fabulous sweetener, it is a must!
It has a cotton candy taste, but won’t mess with your blood sugar.
Gentle Sweet is much sweeter than regular sugar, so a little goes a long way.
Sugar Free White Chocolate Chips
For quite some time sugar free white chocolate chips were unheard of in the low carb/THM world.
I chose to use Bake Believe white chocolate chips because that’s what my local grocery store carries.
You could most definitely use your favorite sugar free chocolate chips in these cookies!
What Ingredients Do I Need To Make Tuxedo Cookies?
- THM Gentle Sweet
- vanilla extract
- THM Baking Blend
- black cocoa powder
- baking powder
- mineral salt
- sugar free white chocolate chips (if you can find these in your local grocery store, buy them…they are much more expensive online)
How To Store Low Carb Tuxedo Cookies
These cookies will be perfectly fine in an airtight container on your counter or pantry.
If you choose to freeze some, they will do well in a Ziploc freezer bag.
